Middle School Curriculum

Economic Education at Collegiate is more than a lesson on scarcity or a particular course. It is woven into the fabric of the curriculum at every division. Our goal is to create economic thinkers who have a greater understanding and appreciation of the economic realities that govern our daily lives.

What do trout, banks, and entrepreneurship have in common? The Middle School! Middle Schoolers have the opportunity to be part of a student run bank, learn how to start a business and market their goods once a month. Eighth graders who join the Trout Club raise trout, maintain the trout tanks, and release the trout in the spring. They also create economic lessons to teach to the 4th Grade science classes.
