Upper School Curriculum

Economic Education at Collegiate is more than a lesson on scarcity or a particular course. It is woven into the fabric of the curriculum at every division. Our goal is to create economic thinkers who have a greater understanding and appreciation of the economic realities that govern our daily lives.

Both introductory and Advanced Placement Micro and Macroeconomics courses are taught in the Upper School. Other opportunities include the Darr Davis Investment Club and the Euro Challenge. Additionally, a capstone program, the Cochrane Summer Economics Institute is open to rising seniors in the Greater Richmond area. This five week work-study program offers interns the opportunity to learn first-hand the system of free enterprise through classes, speakers and an internship.
